National moves are quoted per cubic metre: EUR 20 to 60 per m3 on the Madrid-Alicante corridor, which puts a three-bedroom flat at EUR 400 to 1,500. Alicante to Valencia, about 170 km, runs EUR 700 to 1,500. The band is wide because it spans shared groupage to a dedicated lorry.

Groupage or a dedicated lorry
The decisionShared groupage
You share the lorry and pay only for your volume. It is the low end of the band. In exchange, the delivery date is a window, not a day.
Dedicated lorry
It leaves and arrives when you say, and you unload the same day or the next. It is the high end of the band, and what you buy is certainty of date.
The permit is still local
What does not changeYou need a permit at both addresses, not one. Origin and destination are two separate occupations of the public way, on two streets, often in two different municipalities, with two fees and two notice periods. Almost no competitor page says this. A move from Madrid to Denia needs authorisation in Madrid and authorisation in Denia, each with its own ordinance and its own notice period.
Madrid wants 72 working hours and signage 48 hours ahead; Torrevieja wants 10 days. The one that governs is the longer of the two, because both have to be in place on the same day.
On this coast a removal is priced by the last fifty metres, not by the distance driven. Volume sets the base rate; what turns EUR 400 into EUR 700 is whether the lorry can park at the door, whether there is a lift, and whether a furniture hoist is needed.

How long does a national move take?
On a dedicated lorry, usually the same day or the next within mainland Spain. On groupage the window depends on when the lorry fills, which is where the delays people do not expect come from.
Is it worth waiting for a groupage lorry?
If your date is flexible and nothing depends on a key handover, yes. If you have to hand over a property on a specific day, the saving is eaten by the cost of having to stay somewhere while you wait.
Will I need storage between the two houses?
It is common when the dates do not line up. Bought inside the move it is +EUR 10 to 30 per m3 plus handling, which is normally cheaper than renting a unit separately. We cover it on storage.
Does the permit work differently for a long-distance move?
No. The permit is about occupying the street at each address, so a national move needs two, in two different municipalities, under two different ordinances.
