EUR 350-800 2-3 bed flat within the province

A local move of a two or three-bedroom flat in Alicante province costs EUR 350 to 800. That is the most solid figure in this guide: two independent sources agree on it. The UK corridor is a different market at GBP 120 to 200 per cubic metre. Access surcharges go on top of both.

The surcharges

On this coast a removal is priced by the last fifty metres, not by the distance driven. Volume sets the base rate; what turns EUR 400 into EUR 700 is whether the lorry can park at the door, whether there is a lift, and whether a furniture hoist is needed.

Questions about price

Frequently asked
How much is a local move in Alicante?

EUR 350 to 800 for a two or three-bedroom flat, around 10 to 30 m3. A studio drops to EUR 250 to 600; a four-bedroom house rises to EUR 600 to 1,500.

How much per cubic metre?

Within Spain, EUR 20 to 60 per m3 on national routes, with an international ceiling around EUR 80. On the UK corridor it is priced in pounds: GBP 120 to 200 per m3 on a full move.

Why are my quotes so different from each other?

Almost always because they assumed different volumes or different access. For two quotes to be comparable they need the same volume in m3, the same date and the same packing services. The most expensive quoting error in this corridor: giving the volume in cubic feet when the quote assumes cubic metres. There is a factor of 35 between them. “650 cube” can mean 18 m3 or 650 m3.

What does a move from Madrid to Alicante cost?

EUR 400 to 1,500 for 20 to 25 m3. The wide band covers everything from shared groupage to a dedicated lorry.

Is it cheaper to do it myself with a hire van?

Under 5 m3 with no large furniture, possibly. Above a two-bedroom flat it stops being cheaper once you add the hire, the fuel, the tolls, two days of your time and the absence of goods-in-transit cover. Third-party liability cover is not insurance on your furniture: it covers damage to third parties. What protects your contents is goods-in-transit cover based on a valued inventory, and items worth more than EUR 600 must be listed separately.

Do the prices here include IVA?

Operator-published ranges do not always specify, which is one of the reasons the written quote matters. Always ask whether a figure is with or without IVA.

What is the cheapest month?

January and February, then October and November. Month end, Fridays and July-August are the three expensive moments. Mid-month, Tuesday to Thursday, October to April is when the same move costs less and there is availability.
